Project Details
Wine and whiskey are slow, physical assets. Most investors never see their bottles: they sit in bonded warehouses while their value changes over years. The app had to make that feel close and understandable.
The home screen opens with one number, the estimated value of everything you own, followed by the ways to invest: managed wine, whiskey casks and self-directed trading. Each path has its own colour and illustration, so you always know which part of your money you're looking at. In trading, bottles are cards with producer, vintage, price and change, so a portfolio reads more like a cellar than a spreadsheet.
Whiskey got its own sub-brand, Whiskeyvest, with each cask tier in its own colour and the starting price on every card. Adding funds happens in a bottom sheet that keeps the amount in view while you choose bank transfer, card or wire.
Motion connects the steps: sheets rise from the action that opened them, values settle in place instead of jumping, and transitions stay calm to match the brand.
Things I Did
I worked on the app's UI and UX together with the Vinovest product team. My part covered screen design for the portfolio, trading, whiskey and funding flows, interaction details and the motion behind them, from state transitions and bottom sheets to loading and confirmation moments. I worked within Vinovest's existing brand, extending its editorial typography and illustration style into a consistent mobile system, and prepared specs and motion references for engineering.
